Give Zakat

It's been about 10 years since we first started meeting in our family homes in Baltimore, Maryland. There was no organization, no brand, just a few young families gathering for the remembrance of God and the pursuit of knowledge. We invited a few learned men and women to teach us and after a short time the local community wanted to participate and asked us to bring our lessons to the local mosques. Join us for this short film on how the aspirations of a few families became a burgeoning community and the internationally recognized Al-Madina Institute.

“It's not all about the bricks the mortar. It's about the heart. It's about the spirit. It's about moving souls. And once we start to realize this I think people will rush to support the investment of spiritual growth.” - Moutasem Atiya

In 2017 Al-Madina Institute launched the exciting Suhba Fellowship Program directed by renowned Scholar Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui in historic Istanbul, Turkey.

The Suhba Fellowship Program is a one year fully immersive spiritual intensive catering to the Muslim family (members of all ages) and beginning and advanced seekers. The curriculum consists of a full-time immersive Arabic program headed by Dr. Ahmed Snobar. The students also have a 2 hour daily class with Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui on various Islamic Sciences (Tazkiyah, Usul ul-Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, Quranic Exegesis, Fiqh and more).

As a collective community we have built our institutions and organizations mashAllah. Now is the time to invest in the people who will occupy our beautiful spaces and lead our organizations. Now is the time to invest in the men, women and families that lead our dynamic communities by granting them access to sound scholarship, full time immersive study, and a peaceful environment conducive to spiritual reflection.

Give Zakat to continue supporting students of knowledge, scholars, and the disseminating of Islamic Education.
