Join Al-Madina Institute scholars Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui and Ustadh Moutasem Atiya as they explore Istanbul's rich spiritual and cultural landscape. Get a glimpse of the mantle of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam) preserved for generations to this day and pray in mosques with soaring domes established in the days of Columbus.

Where will the tour go and what is the itinerary?

The tour will be concentrated in the historic city of Istanbul.

The program includes sightseeing tours daily. Our two esteemed Al-Madina Institute instructors, Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui and Ustadh Moutasem Atiya, insha'Allah, will also be accompanying the tour group.

In addition to the major attractions that every visitor to Istanbul must experience, the program will focus on appreciating the Ottoman legacy of Islamic scholarship, and sites will include Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Kucuk AyaSofia, the resting place of the Sahabi Abu Ayub al Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) and much more!

What is the cost of the program?

The cost of the Land Package is $1,675 per person in a double room, and $2,150 for a single room. 

The cost of the flight is not included in this price.  The group flight will originate from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines.

What does the cost of the Land Package include?

• Hotel Accommodations (four star, double accommodation) in Istanbul
• All Transportation and tours in Istanbul
• Meals (please see below)

What meals are included?

During your stay in Istanbul, breakfast will be provided daily.  Dinner will be provided on, three nights, at some of the most acclaimed restaurants of Istanbul.

How do I register?

There are two vital steps to the registration process:

1. Securing your land package [$1,675 per person based on double occupancy].
2. Securing your flights

For step 1, you must register via the Al-Madina Institute website and complete the payment process for your land package.

For step 2, once you book your landpackage we will give you the information you need to purchase your flight reservation.

What is your refund policy in-case I need to cancel my land package?

We understand that things may come up in life. In-case you need to cancel your land package our policy is as follows:

• Prior to April 20th 2012 you are entitled to your land package fee minus $150
• On or after April 20th 2012 to May 20th 2012 you are entitled to your land package fee minus $300
• After May 16th 2012 the land package is Nonrefundable

What about visa processing?

All United States Citizens can obtain a visa at the Istanbul airport for $20. You are responsible for this cost.

What is the deadline for registration?

Registration is based on a first come first serve basis.  Space for this tour is very limited.

How big will this tour group be?

Past Al-Madina Institute tours have been 40 to 60 people in size.  This tour will be limited to 35 - 40 people.
