Abdul Aziz Suraqah

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Abdul Aziz Suraqah began his study of the Arabic language as a teenager, pursuing further studies in Yemen, Mauritania, and Morocco with a focus on Arabic grammar, rhetoric, theology, and literature. Since 1998, he has taught Arabic at several institutions and private schools. In 2005 he began translating and editing full-time, completing over thirty-five works. He currently lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and three daughters, and continues to translate in between sets of pull-ups and squats.
